We are the Iowa Coalition 4 Juvenile Justice, our mission is to eliminate the sentence of life without the possibility of parole for juveniles in the State of Iowa and to address other issues related to justice for juveniles.
Our Objectives
To introduce and pass legislation to abolish the sentence of life without the possibility of parole for juveniles
To include in legislation a retroactive provision enabling current offenders who were sentenced as juveniles to life without the possibility of parole to have their cases reviewed for re-assessment and re-sentencing with the possibility of parole
To continually increase public awareness of, and commitment to, those imprisoned without possibility of parole for crimes committed as juveniles
